5 Register a c-Class BladeSystem enclosure for remote support This chapter describes the prerequisites and procedure for registering a c-Class BladeSystem enclosure using OA. Prerequisites Verify that the following prerequisites are met: • Version 3.55 or later of the OA firmware is installed. HP recommends firmware version 3.60 or later. • For OA 3.55 and 3.56 firmware users only: The Remote Support feature is enabled. For instructions, see "Enabling the Remote Support feature" (page 31). Registering the enclosure using OA Use the following procedure to register the enclosure with Insight RS. 1. Log in to the OA web interface (https://). 2. Navigate to the Enclosure Information→Enclosure Settings→Remote Support page. 3. Enter the Insight RS Hosting Device host name or IP address and port number. The default port is 7906. 4. Click Register. The following message appears: Device successfully registered. Unregistering the enclosure The process to unregister the enclosure from Insight RS is the same as the process for unregistering a Gen8 server. This chapter describes the prerequisites and procedure for registering a c-Class BladeSystem
enclosure using OA.
Prerequisites
Verify that the following prerequisites are met:

Version 3.55 or later of the OA firmware is installed. HP recommends firmware version 3.60
or later.

For OA 3.55 and 3.56 firmware users only: The Remote Support feature is enabled. For

Registering the enclosure using OA
Use the following procedure to register the enclosure with Insight RS.
1.
Log in to the OA web interface (https://<OA hostname or IP address>).
2.
Navigate to the
Enclosure Information
→
Enclosure Settings
→
Remote Support
page.
3.
Enter the Insight RS Hosting Device host name or IP address and port number.
The default port is 7906.
4.
Click
Register
.
The following message appears:
Device successfully registered.
Unregistering the enclosure
The process to unregister the enclosure from Insight RS is the same as the process for unregistering
