The integrity check runs a second pass verification over the data after deduplication to ensure that the deduplicated tape matches the original version it will replace. This is disabled by default because of its significant impact on performance. NOTE: You can set the state and backup algorithm at the individual backup job level. On the Configuration screen, select a specific data type to display all the backup jobs of that type, then follow steps 6 and 7 above. Editing the Data Protector Configuration Data Protector adds one suffix to the backup job names of full backups and a different suffix to the backup job names of incremental backups. Because the job names are not identical, full backups will not deduplicate against incremental backups.
