Power down and unplug the rp54xx Server. NOTE DC voltages are present when the server is connected to AC power. Do not attempt to install or service: CPUs, memory, PSMs, the platform monitor or PCI I/O cards installed in non-turbo slots (1-6) while DC voltage is present. Failure to observe this warning may result in damage to the server. Step 2. Make the right side of the server accessible for service. Step 3. Using a torx 15 screwdriver, loosen the captive screws on the right side panel. This panel has a label which shows which PCI I/O slots are available and the corresponding paths. The PCI I/O slot paths for rp5400, rp5450, and rp5470 are shown below. Installing a PCI Card
Follow these procedures to install a PCI card.
Step 1.
Power down and unplug the rp54xx Server.
NOTE
DC voltages are present when the server is connected to AC power. Do not attempt to
install or service: CPUs, memory, PSMs, the platform monitor or PCI I/O cards
installed in non-turbo slots (1-6) while DC voltage is present. Failure to observe this
warning may result in damage to the server.
Step 2.
Make the right side of the server accessible for service.
Step 3.
Using a torx 15 screwdriver, loosen the captive screws on the right side panel. This panel has a
label which shows which PCI I/O slots are available and the corresponding paths. The PCI I/O slot
paths for rp5400, rp5450, and rp5470 are shown below.
