Format the card in the MOVIE CLIP SET menu screen. MPEG R EC SPLIT MOV I E CL I P S E T . . MENU R E S E T PAGE BACK 1. Insert a CF memory card into the Network Pack. 2. Turn on the GY-DV300 power. Check to see that the C F display appears on the LCD screen/viewfinder screen. (When the power is turned on, display will flash during initialization.) 3. Set the MODE switch to "CAM-A" or "CAM-B". 4. Set the NETWORK PACK CONFIG menu screen. q Set MPEG REC to "SPLIT". w Set the video/audio compression in the ENCODE SET menu screen. ( page 6) e When completed with settings, press the MENU button to return to the normal screen. 5. Press the SELECT dial on GY-DV300 to start recording streaming data on the CF memory card. ● During recording, C F display will light red. 6. To stop recording, press the SELECT dial. 7. To resume recording, press the SELECT dial once more. 8. To end recording, press the SELECT dial to stop recording and turn off the power. Lastly, remove the CF memory card. ENCODE SET menu screen Set to SPLIT LCD screen CF Memo ● Every time recording is performed, the recorded event is stored in the clip list of the CF memory card. Stored contents of clip list: Clip number and date/time when recording was started. All events can be played back on the MOVIE CLIP screen. ( page 21) ● The CF memory card remaining warning is displayed on the LCD screen/viewfinder screen. ( page 38) ● Recording will not be made on the DV cassette tape even if a tape is inserted. ● When using the SELECT dial for GAIN or SHUTTER operation, no operation on the SELECT dial will be accepted for about 3 seconds after the operation is completed.
