Turn on the GY-DV300 power. Check to see that the C F display appears on the LCD screen/viewfinder screen. (When the power is turned on, display will flash during initialization.) 3. Insert the recorded DV cassette tape. 4. Set the MODE switch to "VTR". 5. Set the NETWORK PACK CONFIG menu screen. q Set MPEG REC. When recording using the REC START/STOP button of GY-DV300, set to "TRIG". When recording using the SELECT dial, set to "SPLIT". w Set the video/audio compression in the ENCODE SET menu screen. ( page 6) e When completed with settings, press the MENU button to return to the normal screen. 6. Press the BAR (t/w) button of GY-DV300 to start DV cassette tape playback. 7. Press the REC START/STOP button or SELECT dial at the scene to start record- ing on the CF memory card. (The recording method of using REC START/STOP button or SELECT dial is set in MPEG REC.) ● During recording, the C F display appears in red. 8. To stop recording, press the REC START/STOP button or SELECT dial. 9. To resume recording, press the REC START/STOP button or SELECT dial once more. 10. To end recording, press the REC START/STOP button or SELECT dial to stop recording and turn off the power. Lastly, remove the CF memory card. Memo ● Every time recording is performed, the recorded event is stored in the clip list of the CF memory card. Stored contents of clip list: Clip number and date/time when recording was started. All events can be played back on the MOVIE CLIP screen. ( page 21) ● The CF memory card remaining time is displayed on the LCD screen/viewfinder screen. 19
