Checking the modular cable connection Check that a modular cable is connected between the LINE port and the relevant telephone line. Use the TEL port to connect a telephone cord. 1 2 No. Name 1 TEL (telephone) Jack 2 LINE (telephone line) Jack Telephone Cable - Connect a telephone cable with a ferrite core to the LINE (telephone line) Jack of this machine. (Connect the modular jack on the ferrite-core-equipped end of the telephone cable to the telecommunication port.) In addition, connect a telephone cable with a ferrite core to the TEL (telephone) Jack. (Connect the modular jack on the ferrite-core-equipped end of the telephone cable to the port for connecting a telephone.) - If there is no ferrite core attached to the cable, radio wave reception failures for radios and televisions may occur. - Follow the instructions shown below to attach a ferrite core. - Loop the cable through the ferrite core once. - Ensure that the cable is not pinched by the ferrite core. - Attach the ferrite core 20 mm (+/-5 mm) away from the connector.
