Attaching an external mouse, keypad or keyboard Attaching an external keyboard and mouse Mouse External keyboard You can connect an external keyboard to your computer either directly through the PS/2 mouse and keyboard connector or through the keyboard/mouse cable (available separately as an option). When the external keyboard is attached, the following keys are not available: Numeric keypad on the computer keyboard External numeric keypad Instead, use the numeric keypad on the external keyboard. To attach the external keyboard, turn off the computer, attach the keyboard to the keyboard connector of the keyboard/mouse cable (1), and then attach the keyboard/mouse cable to the computer (2).
