Adjusting the video output quality of your camera To adjust the quality of the video output of your camera, do the following: 1. Open the Communications Utility window. 2. Click Advanced camera settings. The Properties window opens. 3. Configure the settings and select an image quality value. The following values are available: • Speed Priority: It gives you a faster frame rate for the best real-time video conferencing during the day. However, at night or in a dark environment, the image does not have the best quality. • Balance: This gives you a balance between speed and image quality. The image obtained at night or in a dark environment is better than with Speed Priority. • Image quality priority: This gives you a high-quality video and the best image at any time of the day. The image is very clear even at night or in a dark environment, but at the expense of frame rate. The video streaming might slow down. Using an ExpressCard, a flash media card, or a smart card Depending on the model, your computer might have the following card slots: • An ExpressCard slot that supports: - 54 mm-wide ExpressCard - Smart card • A 4-in-1 media card reader slot that supports: - Secure Digital (SD) card - Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) card - Secure Digital eXtended-Capacity (SDXC) card - MultiMediaCard (MMC) Note: Your computer does not support the CPRM feature for SD card. Installing an ExpressCard, a flash media card, or a smart card Attention: Before you start installing a card, touch a metal table or a grounded metal object. This action reduces any static electricity from your body. The static electricity could damage the card. To install a card, do the following: 1. Locate the appropriate type of slot for your card. See "Locating computer controls, connectors, and indicators" on page 1. 2. Make sure that the card is correctly oriented: • For ExpressCard: The notched edge of the card is facing upward and pointing toward to the card slot. • For flash media card: The metal contacts are facing downward and pointing toward the card slot. • For smart card: The metal contacts are facing upward and pointing toward the card slot. 3. Press the card firmly into the card slot. If the plug-and-play feature is not enabled for the installed ExpressCard, flash media card, or smart card, do the following to enable the feature: 1. Open Control Panel. 2. Click Hardware and Sound. 46 User Guide
