Paper Loading menu Menu item Recycled Loading Glossy Loading Letterhead Loading Preprinted Loading Colored Loading Custom Loading Custom Type menu Description Settings Sets the loading orientation of the media type of the menu item selected Notes: Duplex Off • Off is the default setting. • Duplex sets the printer default to 2-sided printing for every print job. 1-sided printing must be chosen from Print Properties. When 1-sided printing is selected, blank pages are automatically inserted to print the job correctly. Menu item Custom Type Recycled Description Settings Creates a menu listing for custom media sizes Paper Notes: Card Stock • The custom size must be supported by the paper tray, Transparency drawer, or multipurpose feeder. Glossy • Once a name is assigned, the name appears instead Labels of Custom Type . Names are truncated to 16 Envelope characters. Universal Setup menu These menu items are used to specify the height, width, and feed direction of the Universal Paper Size. The Universal Paper Size setting is listed with the other paper size settings and includes similar options, such as support for duplex and n-up printing. Menu item Description Settings Units of Measure Specifies the units of measure Notes: Inches Millimeters • Inches is the US default setting. • Millimeters is the international default setting. Portrait Width Sets the portrait width Notes: 3-8.5 inches 76-216 mm • If the width exceeds the maximum, the printer uses the maximum width allowed. • 8.5 inches is the US default setting. Inches can be increased in 0.01 inch increments. • 216 mm is the international default setting. Millimeters can be increased in 1 mm increments. 12
