Menu item Description Settings Power Saver Sets the amount of time in minutes that the printer waits after a Disabled job is printed before it goes into a reduced power state 1-240 Notes: • Disabled does not appear unless Energy Conserve is set to Off. For more information, see the User's Guide on the Software and Documentation CD. • The factory default depends on the printer model. Print the Menu Settings Page to view the current setting. • If you select 1, the printer waits one minute after printing. This setting conserves a lot of energy, but requires more warm-up time. • Select 1 if the printer shares an electrical circuit with room lighting or you notice lights flickering in the room. • Select a high setting if the printer is in constant use. Under most circumstances, this keeps the printer ready to print with minimum warm-up time. Timeouts Œ Print Timeout Sets the amount of time in seconds that the printer waits to 1-255 receive an end-of-job message before canceling the remainder of the print job Notes: • The default setting is 90 seconds. • When the timer expires, any partially printed page still in the printer is printed, and then the printer checks to see if any new print jobs are waiting. 16
