Keep Alive Time

Keep Alive Time This Network Setup > Server Info option specifies the time in seconds that expires between each keep alive signal sent to the host or SNA gateway server. The Keep Alive Type setting specifies the type of signal sent to the host. Set this option to a value smaller than the session's inactivity timeout value defined on the host. The host parameter name is KEEPALIVE OPTIONS. It resides in the host IP profile dataset: SYS1.TCPPARMS(PROFILE). This setting is not used if the Keep Alive Type is set to None.
