Task 5 Verifying the Host Connection Send a job to the printer for which you want to verify the connection. If the jobs fails to print correctly, the most common problems can be found through one or more of the following actions: 1 Check the TN5250E Connection Status (see page 162). From the Operator Panel: Display the TN5250E Connect Status by selecting Menus > Option Card Menu > SCS/TNe MENU > TN5250 SETUP > CONNECTION # SETUP > Connect # Status. Through the http (browser) user interface: Connect to the print server by entering the print server address as the URL. When the print server display appears, click Settings and then SCS/TNe Settings. Choose TN5250E Connections Status. 2 Check the print menu page to be sure all option values are set as defined by your system administrator.
