Task 1 Configuring the Host The host operating system must support TCP/IP and extended Telnet protocols to print SCS jobs to a LAN attached printer. Section "AS/400 and iSeries Software" on page 279 lists host software which supports these protocols. To configure the host check and set the following three system values. System Value QAUTOCFG QAUTORMT Required Value Controls the automatic configuration of devices. Must be set to '1' Sample commands: DSPSYSVAL SYSVAL(QAUTOCFG) CHGSYSVAL SYSVAL(QAUTOCFG) VALUE('1') Controls the automatic configuration of remote controllers.
