Raise the presser bar lifter (20) to the top position. Pull the needle thread underneath the se• wing foot and upwards through the righthand threader slot (17). Place the thread from right to left through the take-up lever (19). Note: The take-tip lever must be at its highest position. A Hook cover • Switch-off master switch Hold the hook cover (26) at the left side and open it towards the front. Taking-out the bobbin case Lift the latch of the bobbin case and pull the bobbin case out of machine. Release the latch and take empty bobbin out of the bobbin case. 0 • ' Guide the thread to the right under thread guide C. Wind the beginning of the thread several times round the bobbin in a clockwise direction. Hold the end of the thread firmly and press the foo: control. 10, Thread tension To obtain optimum seam appearance and durability make sure the needle and bobbin thread tensions are correctly adjusted with regard to each other, i.e. the threads are interlaced between the two fabric layers. Thread
tension
To
