106 Learning the Basics Using Turn Off or Shut down Sample TOSHIBA Power Saver Properties window 5 Select the options you want from the drop-down lists. ❖ When I press the power button Set this option to Shutdown if you want the computer to turn off when you press the power button. ❖ When I close the lid Set this option to Shutdown if you want the computer to turn off when you close the display panel. 6 Click Apply. 7 Click OK to close the TOSHIBA Power Saver Properties window, then close the Control Panel. Starting again after Turn Off or Shut down To start the computer up again, press and release the power button; the on/off light changes to blue.
