Operation 7 The STANDBY MODE selection screen will appear. STANDBY MODE screen allows users to enable the UPS to provide output power when running in standby mode. The standby mode factory configuration is NO OUTPUT. In this configuration, the screen will alternate between STANDBY MODE / PRESS ON KEY TO TURN UPS ON. Note: To enable bypass power output in standby mode, select BYPASS OUTPUT in the standby mode configuration screen. In this configuration, the screen will alternate between BYPASS MODE / PRESS ON KEY TO TURN UPS ON. To Advance to the Next Screen: Press SCROLL (v) To Change This Setting: Press "SELECT" (^) Note: The UPS must be in Standby Mode to change this setting. Factory default = NO OUTPUT FREQUENCY CONVERTER refers to the ability of the UPS to convert 60Hz to 50Hz or 50Hz to 60Hz. The UPS system automatically selects 50 Hz or 60 Hz operation based on utility power conditions at start-up. The factory configuration of DISABLE is ideal for most applications. Some users may wish to convert frequency for connected equipment. To successfully configure your UPS for frequency conversion, ENABLE the FREQUENCY CONVERTER function and SET the OUTPUT FREQUENCY function to the desired 50 or 60 Hz setting. To Advance to the Next Screen: Press SCROLL (v) To Change This Setting: Press "SELECT" (^) Note: The UPS must be in Standby Mode to change this setting. DISABLE* SCROLL SELECT 9 The ECONOMY MODE selection screen will appear. Press "SELECT" (^) to SET this value. Press "SCROLL" (v) to advance to the next option. Factory default = DISABLE ECONOMY MODE is a UPS setting that enables enhanced efficiency and reduced BTU output by suspending double-conversion circuits whenever input power is already of sufficient quality to run connected equipment. In economy mode, the UPS consults the current BYPASS RANGE setting (+/-5% to 10%). When input voltage strays pass the selected percentage preset, the UPS will automatically switch to on-line mode. When input voltage falls back within bypass range settings the UPS will automatically return to economy mode. Note: The suggested setting range is +/- 5% to +/- 10%.
