Selecting Accompaniment Styles Selecting styles from the Main Display You can also select a style by using STYLE M L, even after the STYLE SELECT display has changed back to the main display. When Style Buttons are Inactive • Accompaniment style cannot be se- lected in the Song Play mode. ZPress either STYLE M or L ➔ STYLE is highlighted. XSelect the style Select the style by using the data dial or [-/+] buttons. You can also select styles by pressing STYLE M L. (When selecting a style in this way, the style can be selected not only from a certain style group but from all styles.) [DISK/CUSTOM] • The CVP-94/92 features a [DISK/ CUSTOM] button that allows you to use styles on optional Style File Disks (page 69) or your original styles (page 59) . Tempo Control and Volume Adjustment Whenever you select a different style, the preset tempo for that style is also selected, and the tempo is shown in the main display. (Unless you try changing the style during playback, in which case the same tempo is maintained.) Press the TEMPO [-/+] buttons. (The tempo indication in the main display is highlighted.) ➔ Use the data dial or [-/+] buttons to set the tempo. You can also press either TEMPO [-/+] button briefly to decrement or increment the tempo value by one, or hold the button for continuous decrementing or incrementing. (In the STYLE SELECT pop-up display, only the TEMPO [-/+] buttons can be used.) Tempo • Range: 32 - 280 • Basic setting: Differs depending on the style. • Backup of last settings: OFF Restoring the Basic Style Tempo • You can restore the preset tempo for the selected Style at any time by simultaneously pressing both TEMPO [-/+] buttons. Tempo display Decrementing the tempo TEMPO RESET Incrementing the tempo Use [ACMP/SONG VOLUME] to control the volume of the style. 40
