English Disc Operation Shuffle (except DVD/VCD/SVCD) With the Shuffle function, you can play tracks in random order. 1 During playback, press SHUFFLE repeatedly to select between SHUFFLE DISC, SHUFFLE ALL DISC and SHUFFLE OFF. ➜ The selected mode appears in the display for several seconds. • In SHUFFLE DISC mode, all tracks on the disc currently playing are played in random order. For Hybrid SA-CDs, tracks on the SA-CD layer are played by default (see page 22). • In SHUFFLE ALL DISC, tracks from all discs are played in random order: - If the disc currently playing is a CD, only tracks from CDs and the CD layer of SA-CDs will be played. - If the disc currently playing is in SA-CD (SA-CD layer), MP3, WMA or DivX®, tracks on the disc currently playing are played in random order. When all the tracks on that disc have been played, shuffle playback continues with the next disc. Operations for Video Playback (DVD/VCD/SVCD) Using the disc menu Depending on the disc, a menu may appear on the TV screen once you load the disc. To select a playback feature or item • Use 1 234 or the numeric keypad (0-9) on the remote control, then press ENTER/OK to start playback. To access or clear the menu • Press MENU on the remote control. Zooming in This function allows you to enlarge the picture on the TV screen and pan through the enlarged picture. 1 During playback, press ZOOM repeatedly to display the picture at different scales. ➜ Use 1 234 to pan through the enlarged picture. ➜ Playback will continue. 2 Press ZOOM repeatedly to return to the original size. Resuming playback from the last stopped point You can resume playback of the last 10 discs, even if the disc was ejected or this player's power switched off. • Load one of the last 10 discs. ➜ "LOADING" appears. • Press PLAY B and the disc will be played back from the last stopping point. To cancel resume mode • In stop mode, press STOP 9 again. TIP: The operating features described here might not be possible for certain discs. Always refer to the instructions supplied with the disc. 17

Disc Operation
Shuffle
(except DVD/VCD/SVCD)
With the Shuffle function, you can play
tracks in random order.

During playback, press
SHUFFLE
repeatedly to select between SHUFFLE
DISC, SHUFFLE ALL DISC and SHUFFLE
OFF.
The selected mode appears in the
display for several seconds.
In SHUFFLE DISC mode, all tracks on
the disc currently playing are played in
random order. For Hybrid SA-CDs,
tracks on the SA-CD layer are played by
default (see page 22).
In SHUFFLE ALL DISC, tracks from all
discs are played in random order:
If the disc currently playing is a CD, only
tracks from CDs and the CD layer of
SA-CDs will be played.
If the disc currently playing is in SA-CD
(SA-CD layer), MP3, WMA or DivX
®
,
tracks on the disc currently playing are
played in random order. When all the
tracks on that disc have been played,
shuffle playback continues with the next
disc.
Using the disc menu
Depending on the disc, a menu may appear
on the TV screen once you load the disc.
To select a playback feature or item
Use

on the remote control, then press
ENTER/OK
to start playback.
To access or clear the menu
Press
MENU
on the remote control.
Zooming in
This function allows you to enlarge the
picture on the TV screen and pan through
the enlarged picture.

Resuming playback from the last

You can resume playback of the last 10
