TCP/IP TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/ Internet Protocol) is a set of communications protocols that most of the Internet runs on. Port A port maps a network service such as http to a process running on your computer, such as a process run by your web browser. When traffic from the Internet is received on your computer, the port number is used to identify which process running on your computer it is intended for. Line Printer Remote Protocol The Line Printer Remote (LPR) Protocol is software that provides printer spooling and print-server features using TCP/IP to connect printers and computers on a network. Supported OSs Your operating system must support TCP/IP ports for printing and be compatible with the LPR protocol. The following OSs support ZyXEL Device's printer sharing feature. • Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98 SE (Second Edition), Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP or Macintosh OS X. 7.2 The LAN Setup Screen Click Network Setting > Home Networking to open the LAN Setup screen.
