Traditional Network Configurations The following figure shows a single-segment server initialized at 100 Megabits/sec with Full Duplex Ethernet (FDE). The segmented server in this example is limited to 200 Megabits/sec. If the connection to the server fails, clients can still communicate with one another via the Ethernet switch; but server accessibility will, of course, be impossible without the link. Traditional Network Configurations
The following figure shows a single-segment server initialized at
