4. Internal structure The automatic document feeder (ADF) consists of the pick-up roller, separation roller, paper feed rollers 1/2/3/4, eject roller, ADF motor, switch back sensor, document rear sensor and document front sensors 1/2. For further details on the sensors, see 3.6 Sensors position. These two scanning methods are switched depending on whether the document front sensor 1 detects the document or not when starting scanning.
