8 Close the feeder cover. 7.2 Daily Cleaning CAUTION Take care to avoid pinching your fingers when closing the feeder cover. 9 Raise the feeder. CAUTION Open the feeder carefully and slowly, taking care to avoid letting the feeder fall over backwards. 10 Wipe the scanning glass (narrow strip of glass) to the left of the flatbed (platen glass) with a cloth moistened with plain water and thoroughly wrung out.
