Using the Ethernet Connectors on the Expansion Base The expansion bases have an Ethernet controller that is NE-2000 compatible and two Ethernet connectors: RJ-45 (10BASE-T) and BNC (10BASE2). Attaching an Optional Security Cable Lock A slot is provided on the rear of the computer to lock the undocked computer to an immovable object. A slot is provided on the right side of the expansion base to lock the expansion base and docked computer to an immovable object. NOTE: You can purchase an optional cable lock from Kensington Microware Limited or from Compaq authorized dealers and resellers worldwide. Ask for the Kensington MicroSaver Security System Model 64068. Follow these steps to attach the optional cable lock to the undocked computer or to the expansion base and docked computer: 1. Loop the cable around a heavy, fixed object. 2. Insert the lock end of the cable through the loop end of the cable. 3.
