Check the p rinter and the ou tlet voltage ratings. If the voltages d o not m atch, u nplug the printer im m ed iately and contact you r d ealer. Troub le shooting w Warning: Do not reconnect the power cord to an electrical outlet with the wrong voltage for your printer. The printer does not w ork and the control panel lights are off. The pow er cord is not properly plugged into the electrical ou tlet; or if your pow er cord is not perm anently attached to you r p rinter, the p ow er cord is not properly plugged into the p r in ter . Press the Op era te bu tton to tu rn off the printer, and m ake sure the power cord is firm ly plugged into the electrical ou tlet and the printer, if necessary. Then p ress the Op e ra te button to turn on the printer. The electrical outlet is controlled by an ou tside sw itch or automatic timer. Use a d ifferent ou tlet. The electrical ou tlet is ou t of ord er. Plu g another electrical d evice, su ch as a lam p , into the ou tlet to check if the outlet is w orking properly. If it is not, u se a d ifferent ou tlet. Cause
What to do
The printer’s voltage rating
does not match the voltage
of your electrical outlet.
Check the printer and the outlet
voltage ratings. If the voltages do
not match, unplug the printer
immediately and contact your dealer.

Do not reconnect the power cord to an electrical outlet with the wrong
voltage for your printer.
The printer does not work and the control panel lights are off.
Cause
What to do
The printer is turned off.
Press the
Operate
button. Some
control panel lights come on.
The power cord is not
properly plugged into the
electrical outlet; or if your
power cord is not
permanently attached to your
printer, the power cord is not
properly plugged into the
printer.
Press the
Operate
button to turn off
the printer, and make sure the power
cord is firmly plugged into the
electrical outlet and the printer, if
necessary. Then press the
Operate
button to turn on the printer.
The electrical outlet is
controlled by an outside
switch or automatic timer.
Use a different outlet.
The electrical outlet is out of
order.
Plug another electrical device, such as
a lamp, into the outlet to check if the
outlet is working properly. If it is not,
use a different outlet.
