Select Bin 1 to u se the high-cap acity cu t-sheet feed er, and select Bin 1 or Bin 2 to u se the d ou ble-bin cu t-sheet feed er. To p rint on p ostcard s, select Ca rd m od e by p ressing this bu tton u ntil both Te a r Off/ Bin lights are on. When the optional cut-sheet feeder is installed, press this button to
select the cut-sheet feeder bin you want to use. Select
Bin 1
to use
the high-capacity cut-sheet feeder, and select
Bin 1
or
Bin 2
to use
the double-bin cut-sheet feeder.
To print on postcards, select
C a rd
mode by pressing this button
until both
Te a r O ff/ Bin
lights are on. (Card mode is available only
when the paper thickness lever is set to “2” or higher on the scale.)
Note:

Advanced Control Panel Functions
Besides giving you control of the basic operation of the printer,
the control panel allows you to enter the printer’s default-setting
and quiet modes, and to access several features helpful when
troubleshooting.
To use the functions below (in italics), turn on the printer while
pressing the corresponding control panel button(s).
Letter-quality self test =
Lo a d / Eje c t
Performs a letter-quality self test, which helps you determine the
source of some printing problems. See “Printing a Self Test” in
Chapter 7 for details.
Draft self test =
LF/ FF
Performs a draft self test, which helps you determine the source
of some printing problems. See “Printing a Self Test” in Chapter 7
for details.
