Installation problems Installation problems Problem Actions Software will not install. Verify that your network operating system and computer hardware support the HP 9100C Digital Sender (see "Installation requirements" on page 30). All programs except Systray and Explorer should be closed. To check, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE. If there are other open programs, click one, and then click End Task. Repeat for each open program. Then reinstall the software. If the problem persists, contact HP customer support. HP JetAdmin software did not install. If the HP JetAdmin software fails to install, the setup program stops. Check the result code in the file called JAResult.ini in your Windows\System folder to verify the problem. The result is 1 if the HP JetAdmin software installed and exited as expected, and 0 if a problem with the software exists. Try reinstalling the software. If the problem persists, contact HP customer support. The computer cannot read the installation compact disc. The correct drive might not have been specified. Check for the proper drive letter. Often, it is D or E for the CD-ROM drive. Check the compact disc for damage. Try using the compact disc on another computer, or copy the compact disc or disk folders to the hard drive. Then install from the hard drive. If the problem persists, contact HP customer support. You cannot exit the configuration menu at the control panel.
