16. Enter the Group Container CONSOLESWITCHES and test again. Authentication only This procedure gives an example of how to use Active Directory for authentication only. 1. Perform steps 2 through 10 from the procedure in "Authentication and group-level access controls (on page 277)." 2. Enable LDAP, if necessary. 3. Select Use LDAP Authentication Only. 4. Create user accounts locally in the console switch. IMPORTANT: The console switch user names must match exactly with their user logon name in Active Directory. 5. Set the access controls for the user locally on the console switch. 6. Test the LDAP communication from the HP IP Console Viewer application. 7. Select Tools>Clear Login Credentials.
