As explained below, each printer model is slightly different. The system software is written to accommodate these differences. • HP LaserJet 9000. This is the base model. The HP LaserJet 9000 printer (product number C8519A) comes standard with 64 megabytes of random-access memory (MB RAM), and wide-format printing. Printing media input devices are the face-up bin, the face-down bin, tray 2, and tray 3. • HP LaserJet 9000 n. This model (product number C8520A) is the same as the HP LaserJet 9000 printer, but also includes a 100-sheet multipurpose tray (optional tray 1) and an HP Jetdirect print server. • HP LaserJet 9000 dn. This model (product number C8521A) is the same as the HP LaserJet 9000 N printer with the addition of an optional duplexing unit (for printing on both sides of the paper). • HP LaserJet 9000 hns. This model (product number C8522A) is the same as the HP LaserJet 9000 DN printer with the addition of a 2000-sheet input tray (optional tray 4) and an optional 3000-sheet stacker. Purpose and Scope
This technical reference provides information and troubleshooting tips for the printing system software for the
HP LaserJet 9000 printer.
The following information is included in this technical reference:
Descriptions of drivers and platforms with system modifications.

Descriptions of problems that can arise while using the printer and known solutions to those problems.
Descriptions of known software bugs and workarounds.
As explained below, each printer model is slightly different. The system software is written to accommodate these
differences.
HP LaserJet 9000.
This is the base model. The HP LaserJet 9000 printer (product number C8519A)
comes standard with 64 megabytes of random-access memory (MB RAM), and wide-format printing.
