11 Hardware maintenance Hardware maintenance may be performed by trained personnel only. WARNING! During printer installation, the designated personnel received training for safe operation and maintenance of the printer. It is not allowed to use the printer without this training. Safety precautions You are expected to have the appropriate technical training and experience necessary to be aware of hazards to which you may be exposed in performing a task, and to take appropriate measures to minimize the risks to yourself and to others. Read and follow the safety precautions section to make sure you use the equipment safely. See Safety precautions on page 2. Maintenance resources The printer comes with a cleaning kit, in-box material, and a basic up-time kit. These cover all maintenance operations during the first months, and consist mainly of printer requested cleaning operations via Print-Care. HP Latex 1500 Printer Series maintenance kits and tools User maintenance operations and their timing are described in the following chart. The PMK (printer maintenance kit) must be acquired when prompted by the printer. The SMK (service maintenance kit) is also requested by the printer and needs to be acquired. The service team or technical support should perform SMK operations. Task numbers 1,2,3,4,6 are maintenances tasks. The kits are related to printer repairs. 1. Daily clean 2. The printer comes with a cleaning kit, in-box material, and a basic up-time kit. These cover all maintenance

operations during the ﬁrst months, and consist mainly of printer requested cleaning operations via Print-Care.

HP Latex 1500 Printer Series maintenance kits and tools

User maintenance operations and their timing are described in the following chart.

The PMK (printer maintenance kit) must be acquired when prompted by the printer.

The SMK (service maintenance kit) is also requested by the printer and needs to be acquired. The service team or
