The following DNS Address Configuration options are available: ● Automatic DNS Server. This option is selected by default. It causes the printer to automatically obtain network addresses for DNS servers from the network. If you select this option, a DHCP server provides this information. ● Manual DNS Server. Select this option to manually specify network addresses for DNS servers used by the computer. If you select this option, type the IP address for the DNS server in Preferred DNS server field. If you are not sure which IP address to use, contact your network administrator. In the Alternate DNS server field, specify the IP address for the alternate or secondary DNS server for this computer. This server is used if the DNS server specified in Preferred DNS server is unavailable. NOTE: Click Apply to make the changes take effect.
