In the fn+esc display, the version of the system BIOS (basic input-output system) is displayed as the BIOS date. On some notebook models, the BIOS date is displayed in decimal format. The BIOS date is sometimes called the system ROM version number. For information about updating the system ROM, refer to the "Software Updates" section. Keypads You can use the embedded numeric keypad in the notebook keyboard or connect an optional external numeric keypad. Display System Information (fn+esc)
The
fn+esc
hotkey displays information about system hardware
components and software version numbers.

In the
fn+esc
display, the version of the system BIOS (basic
input-output system) is displayed as the BIOS date. On some
notebook models, the BIOS date is displayed in decimal format.
The BIOS date is sometimes called the
system ROM version
number.

section.
Keypads
You can use the embedded numeric keypad in the notebook
keyboard or connect an optional external numeric keypad. The
embedded numeric keypad cannot be used while an external
keypad is connected to the notebook.
