Exposure settings Use these settings to override the camera's automatic exposure settings. When you change these settings manually, the current settings appear at the top of the Image Display in Preview mode (except when you are using Digital Zoom). 1 In the Setup menu, select Exposure Settings. 2 In the Exposure Settings menu, use the buttons to scroll to Exposure Compensation , White Balance , or ISO , and press OK. Exposure compensation This setting ( ) alters the exposure to compensate for lighting conditions. Settings range from -1.5 (underexposure) to +1.5 (overexposure). To determine how much to adjust the setting, take a picture after you change the setting, then examine the image in Playback mode. If the image is too dark, increase the compensation.
