Prepare the computer for disassembly. 2. Remove the palmrest cover with touch pad. 3. Remove the keyboard. 4. Remove the heatspreader. WARNING: Unplug the telephone lines before attempting to replace the modem. Failure to follow these directions could result in bodily harm or loss of life. 5. Remove the screw securing the shield and modem, lift off the shield, and pull the modem off the connector on the system board as shown. Next

Removing the Modem from the Chassis
1.
Prepare the computer
for disassembly.
2.
Remove the palmrest
cover with touch pad.
3.
Remove the keyboard.
4.
Remove the
heatspreader.
WARNING:
Unplug
the telephone lines
before attempting
to replace the
modem.

5. Remove the screw
securing the shield and
modem, lift off the shield,
and pull the modem off
the connector on the
