Parts Removal and Replacement Memory Card(s) DIMMs Memory Card(s) DIMMs This section describes how to remove and replace DIMMs (Dual In-line Memory Modules) for the B Class and C Class workstations. NOTE Prior to removing the memory, the Left Side Panel, the Power Supply, and the Hard Disk Fan need to be removed. See the appropriate section(s) for the steps to remove and replace these components. Removing and Replacing DIMMs 1. For each DIMM to be removed, press down firmly on the DIMM-removal tabs. The DIMM will come out of its socket. Figure 2-13. Removing a DIMM 2. Align the replacement DIMM with the socket, making sure it is keyed to the socket; i.e., the slots in the DIMM match the dividers in the DIMM socket. This ensures that the DIMM cannot be inserted incorrectly. 20 Chapter 2

This section describes how to remove and replace DIMMs (Dual In-line Memory Modules)
for the B Class and C Class workstations.
NOTE
Prior to removing the memory, the Left Side Panel, the Power Supply, and the
Hard Disk Fan need to be removed. See the appropriate section(s) for the
steps to remove and replace these components.
Removing and Replacing DIMMs
1.
For each DIMM to be removed, press down firmly on the DIMM-removal tabs.
