4 Using the Printer's Hard Disk Data Directories The D640 contains an internal 1.2GB hard disk drive. It is pre-loaded with about 80 MB of files. This leaves over 1.1 GB available for the users. The D640 has a set of disk and file operation commands that are compatible with similar commands on other LaserJet products. With these commands, you can download files containing fonts, macros, symbol-sets, or complete jobs. Refer to "Commands to Read/Write to Hard Disk" on page 43 for a detailed reference to these commands. Printer Data Directories The pre-loaded files on the hard disk are arranged in these directories. USER_ADJ\* User adjustment files called out in the D640 User Manual MAINT\* Maintenance tools and data for service purposes. FONTS\* Factory provided fonts for virtual font cartridges.
