Removal and Replacement Procedures- Microtower (MT) Chassis 7. Hold the card just above the expansion slot on the system board then move the card toward the rear of the chassis so that the bottom of the bracket on the card slides into the small slot on the chassis. Gently press the card straight down into the expansion slot on the system board. ✎ Be sure not to scrape other components in the chassis when installing an expansion card. 8. Fix the screw to secure the expansion card in place. 9. If you are not replacing the old expansion card with a new expansion card, install an expansion slot cover to close the open slot.
