See the DS300 and DS400 Problem Determination Guide for more information. See the DS300 and DS400 Problem Determination Guides for more information. Symptom-to-FRU index Use the ServeRAID Manager software to diagnose and repair storage subsystem failures. You can also use the following symptom-to-FRU index tables to find solutions to problems that have definite symptoms. v Table 2 v Table 3 on page 14 v Table 4 on page 15 Attention: Except in an emergency, never turn off the power if any storage subsystem fault LEDs are lit. Make sure you collect the logs from the ServeRAID Manager (Save Support Archive) to capture the state of the controllers at the time of the failure. You can now correct the fault before you turn off the power. See the problem determination maps in the DS300 and DS400 Problem Determination Guide for more detailed procedures for problem isolation. Table 2. Symptom-to-FRU index for front view LEDs Symbol Problem Indicator Action Green Power LED is off. When this LED is off, it indicates that dc power is not present, or that the power supply or the LED itself has failed. A power LED is also on the power supply. Check Power Supply LEDs. Refer to power supply LEDs table. Note: To remove all electrical power from the storage subsystem, you must disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet. Blue Locator LED is lit. None required Note: The LED can be turned off by selecting When this LED is lit, it has been remotely Identify Enclosure from the ServeRAID Manager lit by the ServeRAID Manager program program. (running on the system that is the management station for the storage subsystem), to aid in visually locating the storage subsystem. Chapter 2.
