Chapter 7 - Enable Screen Blanking Install Switch for Screen Blanking This section explains how mount, connect, and enable the switch for screen blanking. 1 Using your own mounting hardware, secure the switch sensor to the vehicle. 2 Connect the serial cable to the switch. Make sure that Pin 7 connects to the switch connection and Pin 8 connects to the other terminal. Pin 8 Pin 7 3 Connect the serial cable to the COM1 or COM2 port on your computer. Enable Screen Blanking After you have wired and mounted the motion switch sensor, you must enable screen blanking in Intermec settings on the vehicle mount computer. 1 In Intermec Settings, select Device Settings > Screen Blanking on Motion. 2 In Screen Blanking on Motion, select the COM port the custom serial cable is connected to. 3 In Screen-on delay after motion stops (sec), enter the amount of time in seconds that you want the display to turn on after the vehicle is stationary. 4 Tap OK. Install Switch for Screen Blanking
This section explains how mount, connect, and enable the switch for
screen blanking.

Using your own mounting hardware, secure the switch sensor to
the vehicle.

Connect the serial cable to the switch. Make sure that Pin 7 connects to
the switch connection and Pin 8 connects to the other terminal.

Connect the serial cable to the COM1 or COM2 port on your computer.
Enable Screen Blanking
After you have wired and mounted the motion switch sensor, you must
enable screen blanking in Intermec settings on the vehicle mount
computer.

In Intermec Settings, select
Device Settings > Screen Blanking on
Motion
.

Screen Blanking on Motion
, select the COM port the custom
