Troubleshoot a problem Error codes 43.40y 55.1 55.2 61 62 63 182 Error message Black cartridge problem. Error reading USB drive. Remove USB. Error reading USB hub. Remove hub. Defective disk. Disk full. Format the disk. Solution 1 Open door A. 2 Remove the imaging unit. 3 Remove the cartridge from the imaging unit. Warning-Potential Damage: Do not expose the imaging unit to direct light for more than 10 minutes. Extended exposure to light may cause print quality problems. Warning-Potential Damage: Do not touch the photoconductor drum. Doing so may affect the quality of future print jobs. 4 Insert the cartridge into the imaging unit. 5 Insert the imaging unit. 6 Close the door. If the problem persists, then replace the cartridge. Remove the flash drive to continue. Remove the USB hub to continue. Replace the defective storage drive. Try one or more of the following: • Touch Continue to clear the message. • Delete fonts, macros, and other data stored in the intelligent storage drive. • Install an intelligent storage drive. Formatting now wipes all information from the storage drive. To format the disk, do the following: 1 From the home screen, touch Settings > Device > Maintenance > Out of Service Erase. 2 Touch Erase Intelligent Storage Drive, and then touch ERASE.
