Menu Guide-The Shooting Menu Using the shooting menu: 74 Speedlight Cntrl This option is used to control the built-in and optional Speedlights when using optional flash accessories mounted on the camera's accessory shoe. Option Description Auto Optional Speedlight fires, if attached. If not, built-in Speedlight fires instead. Int & ext active Both optional and built-in Speedlights fire. Internal off Built-in Speedlight turns off. SPEEDLIGHT CNTRL Auto Int & ext active Internal off Flash Mode Indicators for Optional Speedlights When Internal off or Auto is selected for Speedlight cntrl and an optional Speedlight is mounted on the camera, flash mode is indicated as shown below. Note that the camera will not detect optional flash units if the flash-ready lamp on the optional Speedlight is off. Be sure the flash ready lamp is on before taking a picture.
