Introduction Turning the Camera on and Off When the camera is turned on, the lens will extend and the monitor or electronic viewfinder will display a welcome message. The message will clear from the display when the camera is ready for shooting or playback. When the camera is turned off, the lens will retract and the camera displays will turn off. The Shutter-Release Button The camera has a two stage shutter-release button. The camera sets focus and exposure when the button is pressed halfway. Focus and exposure will remain locked while the shutter-release button is kept in this position. To take the picture, press the shutter-release button the rest of the way down. Navigating the Menus The multi selector is used to navigate through the camera menus. Move cursor up Cancel and return to previous menu, or move cursor left Display sub-menu, move cursor right, or make selection. Move cursor down 7
