5 Text entry Warning! Do not switch on the phone when wireless phone use is prohibited or when it may cause interference or danger. You can enter letters, numbers, and special characters from the phone's keypad when you use the phone book, calendar, and text messaging or while you browse the Internet. There are two text entry methods: traditional text entry and predictive text input. You have four modes available for entering information, based on the type of data you're entering (phone book, organizer notes or text messages): Mode ABC The phone shows sentence or title case (first letter uppercase) Use for Entering names, numbers or addresses in phone book all uppercase letters all lowercase letters 123 number entry. You can enter letters, numbers, and special characters from the
phone’s keypad when you use the phone book, calendar, and text
messaging or while you browse the Internet. There are two text entry
methods: traditional text entry and predictive text input.
You have four modes available for entering information, based on
the type of data you’re entering (phone book, organizer notes or
text messages):
WRITE WITH ABC AND 123 MODES
A status indicator in the upper left corner of your screen shows
what mode you are using to enter information into your phone
(phone book, calendar, or text messaging).
