Adjusting loudness Loudness compensates for deficiencies in the low- and high-sound ranges at low volume. 1 Touch LOUDNESS on the audio function menu. 2 Touch c on the LOUDNESS setting to turn loudness on. # To turn loudness off, touch d. 3 Touch c or d on the MODE setting to select a desired level. Each time you touch c or d selects level in the following order: LOW (low)-MID (mid)-HIGH (high) Using subwoofer output This unit is equipped with a subwoofer output which can be turned on or off. ! When the subwoofer output is on, you can adjust the cut-off frequency and the output level of the subwoofer. 1 Touch SUB WOOFER on the audio function menu. # When the PREOUT setting in the initial menu is FULL, you cannot select SUB WOOFER. 2 Touch c on the SUBWOOFER setting to turn subwoofer output on. # To turn subwoofer output off, touch d. 3 Touch c or d on the PHASE setting to select the phase of subwoofer output. Touch d to select normal phase and NORMAL appears in the display. Touch c to select reverse phase and REVERSE appears in the display. 4 Touch c or d on the LEVEL setting to adjust the output level of the subwoofer. Each time you touch c or d increases or decreases the level of the subwoofer. +6 to -6 is displayed as the level is increased or decreased. 5 Touch c or d on the FREQUENCY setting to select cut-off frequency. Each time you touch c or d selects cut-off frequencies in the following order: 50Hz-80Hz-125Hz Only frequencies lower than those in the selected range are outputted from the subwoofer. Using nonfading output When the nonfading output setting is on, the audio signal does not pass through this unit's low pass filter (for the subwoofer), but is outputted through the RCA output. 1 Touch NON FADING on the audio function menu. # When the PREOUT setting in the initial menu is only FULL, you can select NON FADING. (Refer to page 107.) 2 Touch c on the NON FADING setting to turn non fading output on. # To turn non fading output off, touch d. 3 Touch c or d on the LEVEL setting to adjust the output level of the non fading.
