When You Have Problems Operating the Machine Problem Misfeeds occur frequently. Misfeeds occur frequently. Misfeeds occur frequently. Misfeeds occur frequently. Misfeeds occur when printing to envelopes. Cause Solution Copy paper size setting is not correct. Remove the misfed paper. For details about removing jammed paper, see "Removing Jammed Paper", Troubleshooting. There is a foreign object on the output tray. • Remove the misfed paper. For details about removing jammed paper, see "Removing Jammed Paper", Troubleshooting. • Do not place anything on the output tray. Non-recommended paper is being used. For example, 256 g/m2 paper is loaded in the paper tray. Use the recommended paper. For details about recommended paper, see "Recommended Paper", Specifications. The paper size that is set by the paper size dial on the paper tray differs from the paper size that is loaded in the paper tray. • Use the recommended paper. For details about recommended paper, see "Recommended Paper", Specifications. • Set the paper size dial on the tray correctly. For details, see "Changing the Paper Size", For First-time Users. The envelopes are curled. Make sure you fully flatten curled envelopes before you load them. Do not stack envelopes over the specified limit for the paper tray. If misfeeds still occur after the envelopes have been flattened, load envelopes on the tray one at a time and print them individually.
