Section 5: Messaging This section explains how to send and receive messages, and other features and functionality related to messaging. Your phone can send and receive Text Messages (also known as SMS) and Picture Messages and Video Messages (also known as MMS). Note: Instructions in this section use the QWERTY keypad, unless otherwise stated. Enter text using your phone's QWERTY keypad. If you tap a field that requires text input, your phone will prompt you to open the phone. Creating and Sending Text Messages Text Messages are simple messages containing text, which can be sent to another mobile phone or to an e-mail address. 1. In Standby mode, press the Messaging key New Message ➔ Text Message. , then tap Tip: You can also create a new text message using Voice Commands. For more information, see "Using Voice Commands" on page 69. 2. On the New Txt Msg screen, enter recipients: • Tap Add to select from the Contacts list, Recent Calls, or Groups. • Tap New# to enter a recipient's number or e-mail address. While entering an email address, tap Add ➔ Shortcut to insert common web or e-mail phrases, such as .com or .org. 3. Tap Text to enter the text content of your message using the keypad. Section 5: Messaging
This section explains how to send and receive messages, and other
features and functionality related to messaging. Your phone can send
and receive Text Messages (also known as SMS) and Picture
Messages and Video Messages (also known as MMS).
Note:
Instructions in this section use the QWERTY keypad, unless otherwise
stated. Enter text using your phone’s QWERTY keypad. If you tap a field that
requires text input, your phone will prompt you to open the phone.
Creating and Sending Text Messages
Text Messages are simple messages containing text, which can be
sent to another mobile phone or to an e-mail address.
