Troubleshooting chart Many potential problems can be resolved by the owner without calling a service technician. If something is wrong with this product, check the following before calling your authorized SHARP dealer or service center. " General Symptom The power is not turned on. No sound is heard. The sound from speakers is not well balanced. Noise is heard during playback. When a button is pressed, the system does not respond. Interference or noise occurs on the TV image. The display on the main unit is dark. No images are displayed. Possible cause ! Is the system unplugged? ! Are the system connection cords discon- nected? ! Is the volume level set to "0"? ! Are the headphones connected? ! Are the speaker wires disconnected? ! Are the speaker wires connected to the wrong channels? ! Move the system away from any computers or mobile phones. ! Set the system to the power stand-by mode and then turn it back on. ! If the system still malfunctions, reset it. (Refer to page 64.) ! Is the system placed near TV with internal antenna? Use an outdoor antenna. ! Is the display in the dimmer mode? ! Is the TV turned on? ! Is the TV input switched on? ! The video output mode may not match the jacks you are using. Change the mode as follows. In the stop mode, press the SHIFT button and SCAN SELECT button on the remote control a few times (see page 22). " DVD player Symptom Possible cause Even though a disc is loaded, "No Disc" is displayed. ! Is the disc loaded upside down? ! Is the disc very dirty? ! Does the disc satisfy the standards? !
