3-2 Sonos Digital Music System User Guide You can release the buttons as soon as the Mute indicator (green) and the ZonePlayer Status indicator (white) start to blink alternately. This takes approximately 1 second. Once the ZonePlayer is successfully connected, the ZonePlayer Status indicator will stop flashing and change to solid white (normal operation), and the Mute indicator will go out. If your ZonePlayer is not detected, see ZonePlayer not detected during setup. 4. Select a name for your ZonePlayer from the list, and then click Next. Note: Sonos recommends that you wait to add the rest of your ZonePlayers until after you finish the setup process. Once you've got the music playing, go to Add A ZonePlayer to add the rest of your ZonePlayers. 5. During the setup process, you will be asked to register your Sonos Digital Music System. Registering your music system allows you to receive technical support, online software updates, and free music service trials. Sonos never gives or sells your e-mail address to other companies. 6. To set up access to your music folders, select Yes, set up my music now, and click Next. 7. Click Add a Share. 8. Choose one of the following options: • To add a folder stored on this computer, select Add music stored on this PC, and then select a folder you have music stored in (all subfolders will automatically be added) or, • To add music stored on a different computer or a NAS device, select Add music stored in folders that are currently shared on my network. • Click Browse to select a folder from the list. If the shared directory is not listed, type the path name in \\name\sharename format, where name is the network name for your computer or NAS device, and sharename is the name of the top level shared directory (for example, \\linkstation\music_share), and then click Next. • If this folder is not shared anonymously, type the user name and password of a user with rights to access this music folder, and click Next. • Click Finish. 9. If you purchased a Sonos Controller, you can add it to your music system now. Plug the Sonos Controller into the power adapter to begin charging it, and follow
