To apply effects to a scene Apply effects provided with the Effect tray to a scene to make it more visually interesting. To apply an effect to a scene, drag it from the Effect tray and drop it on the Edit tray monitor or the Effect palette. The effect appears for the duration of the trimmed portion of a scene. You can adjust the length of the effect as desired. 1 Click the "Effect" button. The Effect tray appears. "Effect" button Monitor Effect preview monitor Basic Operation Play button Effect knobs Effect Effect palette 2 Click an effect. The effect is displayed on the effect preview monitor. Check how it appears. Note You can only apply effects to a scene. You cannot add effects to a clip, a piece of BGM, narration, or to multiple scenes at the same time, or when no scene has been selected. Continued 35
