There are dots in the shape of a grid on the screen.  These points are a normal result of the manufacturing process of the screen and do not affect the recording in any way. Memory card Operations using the memory card cannot be performed.  If you use the memory card formatted on a computer, format it again on your camcorder (p. 90). Images stored on the memory card cannot be deleted.  The maximum number of images that you can delete on the index screen at one time is 100.  You cannot delete the protected images.
