Table of Contents Enjoy Useful Functions Low ( ) Makes the flash level lower. Red Eye Reduction (HDRCX360/CX360V/PJ30/PJ30V/ PJ50/PJ50V) You can set this function when you record photos using the built-in flash, or an external flash (sold separately) that is compatible with your camcorder. You can prevent redeye by activating the pre-flash before the flash flashes. On ( ) Uses Red Eye Reduction to prevent redeye. Off Does not use Red Eye Reduction to prevent redeye. Notes The redeye reduction may not produce the desired effect due to individual differences and other conditions. The redeye function does not work with automatic recording by [Smile Shutter]. Blt-in Zoom Mic You can record a movie with vivid sound appropriate to the zoom position. Off The microphone does not record sound following zooming in or out. On ( ) The microphone records sound following zooming in or out. Wind Noise Reduct. You can record a movie with less wind noise by cutting the low-frequency sound input from the built-in microphone. Off Disables wind noise reduction. On ( ) Enables wind noise reduction. Notes If you turn the [Wind Noise Reduct.] function to [On], the [Blt-in Zoom Mic] function turns off automatically. Audio Mode You can change the recording sound format. 5.1ch Surround ( ) Records sound in 5.1ch surround. 2ch Stereo ( ) Records sound in 2ch stereo. Micref Level (Microphone reference level) You can select the microphone level for recording sound. Normal Records various ambient sounds, converting them into the appropriate level. Low ( ) Records ambient sound faithfully. Select [Low] when you want to record an exciting and powerful sound in a concert hall, etc. (This setting is not suitable for recording conversations.) Index US 85
